Matilde Lanzini
PHD Candidate
Matilde received her B.S. in Biology from the Università degli Studi di Ferrara, Italy. She then completed a Master of Research at Imperial College London and an internship at the Natural History Museum of London's Deep Sea Lab, where she gained experience in evolutionary biology and phylogenetics. She joined the Coleman Lab as a Fulbright Scholar in 2023 and she was certified as an AAUS Scientific Diver.
Her primary research area is using comparative population genomics to study the evolution, speciation, and population connectivity of marine fishes with contrasting life histories, spanning from coral reef fishes with pelagic larvae to stingrays with adult-mediated gene flow.
